How to set different scales for multiple drawing templates

I am creating drawing templates in Creo 8.0.  For .prt files, I'm using an A4 border and want a scale of 1.000.  For .asm files, I'm using an A2 border and want the scale to be .200.

The templates work properly during an open session of Creo.  However, when I close Creo and relaunch, the scale showing up for either template changes to something that appears to be a best-fit scale.  For reference, when I use the drawing template that had its scale set at .200, it creates a drawing with scale of .143.

Both templates will be stored in Windchill and used globally.  I prefer to achieve the desired scales without using mapkeys.

How do I set the scale to a default value in a drawing template so it stays after closing and relaunching Creo?

Thank you for the advice.  It did not work.  I've done the following:

Set default_draw_scale in config.pro to 1.0.

Launch Creo.

Create one_point_0.frm.

Use one_point_0.frm as a template.

The scale of the drawing then shows 1.000.

Close Creo.

Set default_draw_scale in config.pro to 2.0.

Launch Creo.

Create two_point_0.frm

Use two_point_0.frm as a template.

The scale of the drawing shows 2.000.

When I then close Creo again and relaunch, the scale is set to 2.000 whether I select the one_point_0.frm or the two_point_0.frm.

Is there a way to have the scale of the one_point_0.frm set to 1.000 and the scale of the two_point_0.frm set to 2.000 in the same session of Creo?

Note that .frm are formats not templates.  Consider using template drawings, where you can specify the scale factors of the preset views.

Though these preset views will have a note automatically generated which shows this custom scale, which will be different than the "default" scale for the drawing.

Anyway, as you have demonstrated, default drawing scale is not a drawing specific setting - it is governed by the config.pro setting default_draw_scale.  So the alternative I can think of is to make a set of mapkeys, one to start a part drawing and one to start an assembly drawing.  In these mapkeys, the value of the default_draw_scale is set as per your requirements.  Then these mapkeys can be assigned to a set of buttons in the ribbon.

My apologies.  I mistakenly typed .frm instead of .drw.  Seeing as the formats are going to be used globally, I prefer to not use mapkeys as it would require me to update countless config.pro files accordingly.

Is there a simpler way to set the scale for one template to 1.000 and the other to 2.000?
