Import a Part into a Part

How do I import a part into a part. I have modelled a standard bush, I now what to take that model into a new part and make a cut. I do not what to use assembly as this is a Part. In Solidworks it is easy just import part, why can not Pro E do this? I am using Wildfire %

it can very much be done in proe.

you have to use Insert>Share Data>Merge/Inheritance....option.

Thanks for the fast reply. I tried it but hit a snag when I go to insert it does not allow me to import Pro E Models, just STEP, IGES, Parasolid etc. Do I have to convert my base part befor I can Insert

u have to select Insert>Share Data>Merge/Inheritance..it only selects proe files
