If I understand you correctly, you should be able to do this through the following:
1) Add the datum curve to a layer
2) From the drawing layer tree, hide this layer in the drawing for all default views (i.e. TOP MODEL)
3) Select the black Layer Object Selection Arrow from the layer tree and pick theview where you want the curve TO show to create a unique set oflayer visibility properties for this view only. You can then manipulate visibility on this view separately from the rest of the drawing.

A datum curve on a leaf spring part needs to be shown in a projection view
for datum target point purpose. This datum curve also shows in an isometric
and other projection views. Is there any way that I can hide it from other
than intended view or do I have to create an instance w/o the datum curve
and use it for the other views?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
