Layer Properties

All:

Does anyone know why 'Layer Properties' is sometimes grayed out on a
component whose Workspace status is 'Clear', Commonspace status is
'Unlocked', and Release Level is 'Initial'? I run across this problem quite
often; usually I can restart Pro and reopen the component and it's
available, but this has not been the case with the assembly I'm currently
working on. Nothing in the workspace is locked, read-only or released.

I'm on WF 2.0, M280, with Pro/INTRALINK 3.4, M050.

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

For assemblies, that happens when, any one of the layers selected, includes
a sub-component that is not editable. Expand the layer tree and unselect the
layers of read only sub-components, then the desired function will not be
grayed out.

If it is desired to only change the layer of the assembly itself, without
impacting sub-components, uncheck the SHOW SUBMODEL LAYERS, menu item.
