Locking files in PDMlink 9.0

Hey Folks
This maybe more a Windchill Question, but I think it applies here..

We have Windchill PDMLink 9 M030
Please don't suggest an upgrade, my IT guy just laughs every time I beg for 9.1, it's not his fault. The decision not to upgrade came from WAY up the ladder, so don't bother going there.

I have an assembly in my workspace that I want to lock. I also want to lock all the subassemblies and all the subcomponents in the workspace. How do I accomplish this?

I can select the file in the workspace and hit [FILE][LOCK] - but this does not gather all the subcomponents.

I can select the file in the workspace and hit the INFO (circle I) in the workspace table. The next window pops up and I can hit [STRUCTURE], I can expand the tree to show all the subcomponents, I can click the select all box and gather all the parts. I then go to ACTIONS at the top of the page, and [LOCK] is not available.

I can't find it anywhere, what am I missing?

Is this possible?

thanks in advance for your help!

Simple:

retrieve assembly in Pro/E

Select the components and assembly (hold CNTRL key for multiple selection)

use RMB to select Lock File

Instead of selecting each component you can also use the find tool to
select a group of components based on attributes that you want.
