Hello,
Is there any method to create multiple parametric BOM balloons for a single item in the BOM repeat region? I know about the reference balloons, but the customer does not want the word REF under the balloon.
Cancustom balloons be shown multiple times for a single item in the BOM?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Steve
Multiple BOM balloons CAN be created for a single item number, without using quantity balloons and without using a custom balloon. It's real easy.
After the table is created, click Table, BOM Balloons, Create Balloon, By Comp, then select the components. A balloon can be created for each occurrence of any item. So if the assembly has a part assembled five times, the BOM lists the part as a single item with qty=5, and five balloons can be created. This is just what I need to do.
I always thought this was not possible. Severalusersresponded to me that this is not possible. Several users suggested using quantity balloons and split them.
Christopher Gosnell fromTRIGON INC., FPD Company, provided the answer. Thanks Christopher.

Another easier way is just rightclick on the view you want to have the BOM ballon in select "Use Model in Tree"
Then right click on the item you want to show a ballon for in the Model Tree and select "Create BOM Balloon"
