Offset surface up to a datum point?

Does anyone know of a reasonably quick way to offset a complex surface up to a point rather than by a value? Naturally only one point on the surface would be at the specified point after the operation.

You might have to use a relation.

Create an analysis feature to measure and capture the distance from the point to the surface then set the offset to be equal to the measured distance.

Thanks for both your replies. The I need to offset by a negative value and the offset feature does not allow for linking to parameters with negative values.

You can maybe use the Absolute Value relation. I forget the syntax.
