I have developed a couple of mapkeys to generate PDF files from drawings.
The newest version uses <file><save as="><export> and "Save as PDF" option. This works very well with no graphical defects but the file size can be more than 50% larger than my older method.
The older method uses <file><print> and "Adobe" or "Generic Postscript" as the printer type. Again, this works very well and produces the smallest possible files size from my testing. True, it only produces a postscript file (.ps) and then Adobe Distiller automaticly converts it to real PDF file type.
Recently (probably due to some kind of "upgrade" by Adobe), the old carriage return/linefeed symbol (small empty square) starting appearing in notes. See the attachment. This only happens using the Print method.
