PDMLink messing up symbols in parameters

If you add a drawing symbol to a parameter, PDMLink appears to mess it up either during check in or check out.

Anyone have a solution.

The top one is before, the bottom one is after.

The problem is related to our start parts. PTC was able to reproduce the issue, and have assigned a severity level of High to the SPR. They plan to fix it in a later release of WF4, 5,& 6. (Wildfire 6.0 is what the spr says, not creo)

Windchill PDMLink is not recognizing text encoding when user using symbols characters in Pro/ENGINEER parameters value.
