Part dim in a created dim

WF4, M190

I have a multi sheet drawing with a separate sheet for each instance of
a family table part. In one dimension, I've included the part dim for
the number of instances in a pattern:

{0:&no_full_slots}X @D

Worked just fine, showing "13X 80 +0.1/-0". I now have to recreate that
dim in a new view and I've used the same syntax.

It shows fine at first, but it won't 'stick'. It turns to *** after
saving.

What's the deal here?
