Problem with hpgl output using filled font in Creo

We used the filled font on our format for things like the drawing number and revision.

We just noticed in Creo 2 m050, and I tested it on m030 also, that the hpgl2 output in Creo is significantly different than Wildfire 4

Here's what an hp file of the filled font looks like in Wildfire 4

Now here's Creo 2.0-m050

It's letting the paper color show through wherever the strokes of the font overlap.
