Question for the professionals leveraging Pro/E at it's fullest!

How do you release drawings with listened consumables ie. tape, glue oil and
grease in your 'repeat regions' in Pro/E drawings?

Tape and glue can be molded at .015 thk I suppose so it shows up in repeat
regions. Whats your common practice at your work?

About Bulk Items
Bulk items are nonsolid representations of components within an assembly.
Bulk items represent objects that do not require solid models but must be
represented in the Bill of Materials (BOM) or in Product Data Management
programs. Examples of bulk items include glue, paint, or multiple
component items such as rivets or screws. Bulk items are identified with
in the Model Tree. Bulk items can contain special relationships to support
the associative calculation of bulk quantities according to the assembly
context.
Parameters for bulk items can be predefined in the corresponding bulk
model. The bulk model is a subtype of a part and is identified as a .prt
file. You can manipulate (add, remove, and modify) bulk part-level
parameters and relations. In addition, you can create family table
instances of a bulk model.
When you add bulk items into an assembly, the part-level parameters and
relations are associatively copied to the bulk item component level. If
you select User Input, you can define different values to parameters for
every occurrence of a bulk item in any assembly. You can summarize
parameters from multiple objects by using Parameter Sum. The
representation of the bulk quantity in the BOM is controlled by the
BOM_REPORT_QUANTITY parameter.

We add a bulk item to the assembly and assign a parameter value for its usage, for example...

I never saw the advantage to using bulk items. A basically empty part assembled using the default constraint is just as easy to use. If you put in a simple feature like a very small protrusion or a datum curve, you can show a BOM balloon that you can then merge with other balloons (useful for things like thread locker or seal tape). You can't show BOM balloons for bulk items.

I generally don't use "bulk" parts per se. I make a real part and use it as a bulk item. Why? Well, with a real part I can constrain it CS to CS, and can repeat the part in the model tree so if I want to swap out one instance of a bulk part with another I can. For instance, things like oil or grease, etc. You can make a family table of the bulk part(s) and change viscosity, etc. For weld filler metal, you can create a fam tab of different materials, and easily put multiple filler metals in the assembly and in the notes say you can use one or the other and both will show in the BOM. Yes, I know you can make a fam tab of bulk parts too, but I like being able to pattern or repeat the instances like you can with a constraint. Plus, as mentioned, if you want to point a leade to it what you can do is do a copy geom and copy a surface from one of the parts. This will allow you to put a leader where you want it, say, for sealant at the sealing surfaces of 2 parts.
