How is the geometry for the cable created? If it is a sweep then you can use a variable section sweep and "clock" the section using a relation defined as a function of the internal parameter "trajpar". This will enable the twist of the cable as it is swept along the trajectory. You will need to define a clocking reference in the sweep sketch and then add an angle dimension and then write a relation for that angle as a function of trajpar.

If you want explicit control of the angle of the cable at specific locations along the path then create a network for the cable.
1) Create a network for the cable
2) Route the cable using network
3) Edit the angle parameter at network locations as required to twist the cable. You will find the angle control under the options tab.

Are you using autoroute and applying the position of the connectors to achieve the 180 degree rotation of pin 1 on the connectors? If so I did not interpret your request accurately. So you are able to autoroute and have the cable rotate through 180 degrees?
I read your request as a desire to control the cable orientation along the routed path. This is the only other way I am aware of other than the fold and bend approach mentioned above to control orientation along the route.
