We are actively moving to SharePoint data storage. Can assembly be organized with Parts in multiple folders / Multiple access users working on different parts of an ASSEMBLY. Assembly Regenerate should update the assembly with latest in SharePoint folders.
If you set your search paths properly, it should work.
You will need to be careful of the same file name existing in multiple folders as the system will load the first one it finds.
Hi,
I am not using it for a complex ASM. Very simple one step drop ASM.
How to set search path?
Folder1 Folder2 Folder3 ....
No complex parts, No sub assemblies.
This is exciting if I can set different folders to look for different parts (Provided Part number remains strictly RIGID)
Thanks in Advance!
Always new everyday with Creo!
Hi,
Tried all different options and trial-&-error in process.
I AM DOING SOMETHING WRONG!
Where is the config.pro picking from ? Default..
I added search_path_file , search-path.pro.txt ??? (location working directory) Name ??? SO MUCH CONFUSED ....hahaha! Not a programmer and now can understand their frustration!!
Any Guru willing to take this neuron twister? : )) Thanks in advance.
In your config.pro file, put this: search_path_file <Some_File_Location>\search.pro replacing <Some_File_Location> with your actual location for the search.pro file.
Create your Search.pro file similar to this:
!=================================================
SEARCH PATHS
!=================================================
<Some_File_Location>\<Some Folder name>
//SHAREPOINT_Folder_Name
<Some_File_Location>\Libraries\Hardware
The folder names in your serch.pro are whatever you need for Creo to find the files you have saved to disk.
Still no success! Working on it. .. will give you a detailed study track. Hold on to the wagon! : )
You will also need to be careful about who saves the assembly if multiple users have it open at the same time.
"He who saves last wins!"
