Scroll wheel behaviour in WF4

Hi All,

We've recently upgraded from WF3 to WF4 and whilst I'm loving drafting
open quilts, there is one thing that's bugging me:

In WF3 you could drag features up & down the model tree and whilst
dragging you could use the mouse scroll wheel to zip up & down the tree
faster. It's great for large models with many features. It also worked
well when dragging the 'Insert Mode Arrow' up & down the model tree.
However, in WF4 you can't seem to be able to do this. You can use the
scroll wheel, but not with anything selected.
Does anyone else have the same problem? Has anyone found a solution to
it?

I've tried the PTC helpdesk, but after difficulty in explaining the
problem and spending most of the call duration explaining HOW to
actually drag features up & down the model tree, I lost all faith that
they would come up with a solution!! Hence, my plea to the forum.

Thanks,
Ian

Please see feedback from PTC below. I will (for what it's worth) be
submitting an Enhancement Request to try and get the old functionality
back.

Ian

Title

Inability to Scroll in the Model Tree Window by Holding the Left Mouse
Button (-LMB)- and Using the Scroll Wheel

Details

Description

For models with a large feature list (scroll bar visible) it has been
possible to navigate through the feature list by holding LMB on Insert
indicator (red arrow) or any other feature in model tree and scrolling
with the middle scroll button. This worked in versions before
Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4. Starting with Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire4 this
behaviour is no longer supported.

Resolution

The pre-Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire4 behaviour was in contradiction to the
specifications and has been corrected with Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.
The scrolling with the mouse wheel should _not_ be supported during a
drag & drop operation.
The correct process to navigate through the model tree is by moving the
mouse near to the upper or lower border of the Model-Tree.
To increase the speed for scrolling you should move the mouse slightly
in the horizontal direction, once scrolling has started.
