Compression molding general drawing note

Proe Users,

I have a compression molded component that I am creating a production
drawing for and was curious if anyone could share a general drawing note
associated w/ the compression molding process. I have attached an example
note that we use for injection molded components. I don't design many
compression molded components and I'm sure there are some details I would
miss creating one form scratch.

Thank you

I can't help you with compression molding but I have a question about your note #7:

7. INSPECT PART FOR COSMETIC DEFECTS USING THE SOCIETY OF THE PLASTIC INDUSTRY
COSMETIC SPECIFICATIONS OF INJECTION MOLDED PLASTIC PARTS, 1994 EDITION:
ALL TEXTURED SURFACES: GRADE <x> / SURFACE <x>
ALL CAVITY SIDE SURFACES (UNTEXTURED) GRADE <x> / SURFACE <x>
ALL CORE SIDE SURFACES: GRADE <x> / SURFACE <x>

What exactly is the SPI Cosmetic Specification? I went to their website & could not find any standards or specs. There are links to some other organizations like ASTM that they work with to develop standards.

I did get the SPI mold finish plaque years ago & I remember it was like pulling teeth to find it & buy it. They don't seem to want to disseminate their wisdom.

Never mind, I found it by googling their site (the internal search turned up nada). You have to go to their store section.
