Sheetmetal help needed...

I'm trying to build a pyramid shaped cap that I will eventually put a
hole in to join to a tube. When I go to make the 3rd bend, I get the
error "invalid bending area" which I assume is associated with the weird
angles at the tip of the pyramid. Anyone know how to make this work?
The goal is to be able to give the shop a flat pattern that is at least
close to what I want without them having to weld 4 panels together.

The part needs to look something like the bottom image. This was made
with 4 pieces and is close, but not really what I wanted.

Thanx.

Tony

OK, the initial best suggestion was to add a relief hole to the
middle... duh! This worked, now I get the funny overlap at the last
two edges. Is this just a trial and error sort of thing? Do I just
tweak the angles till I get it right or is there a secret to it?

In the mean time, I am trying the make a pyramid, shell it, then rip it
method.

Thanx for the quick help.

I would make the final shape first, shell, cut breaks and bend relief,
then import to sheetmetal.

It's the difference between modeling a part in 2 hours or 20 hours...

Thanx to all who responded (and so much quicker than PTC help would
have, sorry PTC...)

THE solution is to create the pyramid, then convert to sheetmetal using
a shell feature. Awesome result. 'zackly like I wanted!

You guys Rock!
