Sheetmetal import of "flush" flanges

Hi folks,

I'm working on a project that will be importing a lot of sheetmetal parts.  My challenge right now is that walls that are flush (face-to-face), import as non-uniform thickness.  This makes it impossible to convert to sheetmetal and unbend.  I know I can manually delete the feature or cut it out with Import Data Dr. and re-create it, but does anybody have another method?

Is this a common problem that you have?

Do you think it's pretty bad if Creo can't even import it's own sheetmetal parts that were exported as neutral files and convert back to sheetmetal?

Stirring the kettle,

Josh
