Sub-assembly folders : Assembly cannot be open by everyone

Hi,

I'm currently working on CREO for a few months now but something is really annoying to me : all part of an assembly must be in the same folder.

So I search on this forum and find solution by creating a search.pro file : it works.

But as I'm working with my collegues on a server, they can't open the assembly without creating another search.pro file.

I read some things about windchill but we don't have it.

Is there a solution or we are forced to put thousands of parts in tha assembly folder ?

Thank you.

Hi, I suspect that the search.pro file is pointing at mapped network drives. If that is the case then the issue might be that they have an alternative drive mapping. For example you may have s:\cadfiles\folder1\sub\-folder... but their s: is completely different. If that is the case then don't use the map drive use the full machine name like \\servername1\yourcadfiles\cadfiles\folder1\sub\-folder...

Hope that you follow this and that it helps.
