Suggestions for modeling a "light cone"

Any suggestions for how to model a light cone?  I want to create an assembly that uses a source of light, represented as a CAD model with known light angle, and visualize/measure the interaction of with other objects (lit areas, shadows, etc.).  I worked with component "Cut Out" operations, but that still leaves light cone geometry on the other side of the cut.  I need a way for the light geometry to end when it intersects an object (think of a single ray of light, which stops at on object).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Chris
