Track Changes?

Good morning guru's!
Does anyone know of a tool (or even method) to track changes in
Pro/E? Similar to the way that Microsoft word would track changes? We
update drawings through shared models, but we need to document each and
every change throughout the process. Our completed drawings are correct
since we all use the same model, but the exact details are missing from
our change notices.

Thanks for any ideas you may have come across. Have a great day.

Try using a Compare Part report in Pro/E.

Analysis -> Compare Part -> By Feature...

You'll then need to be sure to turn on show all versions in the file selector and pull the prior version you want the differences to.

If you are refering to drawing changes, I use a software called Bluebeam PDF to compare the PDF of the old vs. new revision. You can overlay one PDF on top of the other in different colors and it becomes obvious exactly what was changed on the drawing.

Attached is an example. What is in red was old rev, green is new rev, black is consistent across revisions.

If you move a view, it gets a little messing, but overall, its a really handy tool.

I searched in Google for Bluebeam PDF and found it at http://www.bluebeam.com/.
There are 2 editions of the software available - "Bluebeam PDF Revu Standard Edition" and "Bluebeam PDF Revu CAD Edition". Which one do you use to create the PDF with the differences?

You only need the standard edition. The CAD edition embeds a button into programs like autocad so no benefit to proe unless you use autocad as well.

We have used blubeam for 12+ months but recouped the cost of 10 licences in the first week of use by spotting a change that shouldn't have been there and would have cost ££ to rectify.
