help me to close an open loop of surface,further please guide me how to smooth surface on part.....every opinion is appreciable.

Welcome to PTC Community - it is a minor issue, but this should have been created as a question rather than a document.

I can open it but is an stl file and I'm not able to look at the geometry.  I probably wouldn't be able to answer the questions anyway but was hoping to maybe learn something from the discussion.
