Using points to reference G3-continuity curves (Crew 5.0)

Hi,

I'd like to have a G3-curve, which uses points as references. In sketch, spline has no option for G3. Using the Style Tool I can create G3 curves, but can't reference them. Is there an option I haven't found? I would be grateful for any help. Thanks!

I now understand the objective. I am not aware of any method to externalize the control points for use as a reference to another feature. I am pretty sure that you are linking to the endpoints of the curve (or spline) on the ends of the curve and not the control points.

If you can define your design intent in more general terms then maybe someone can offer an alternative method realize the goal.

It is possible to link a style to curve to datum points. If you post a model with the point set with supporting explanation of the curve required.

This is how it should look like. Having the points of the spline/style-tool curve referencing points I created earlier. With Spline it works, but not as a G3-Curve. In the style-tool I can't choose any points as references.

I don't use this function so I may be way off here but can you create a curve from points first and then use that?

This is an ISDX degree 5 curve snapped to three points defined by sketch 1. The open yellow circles indicate the linked points. The curvature comb illustrates continuity of the curve.

You can snap the curve points to the reference points by holding down the shift key and selecting the point to establish a link.

Thank you for your answer, but I think I didn't expressed myself correct. I meant the control points of the curve. So I want to have the control points of the curve referencing other points. This only works with the first and last control point, but not with the control points in between them.

The only option I can think of that will help you is to use a knot mesh analysis of the curve which will display the control points outside of ISDX super features so you will have a visual reference. You can not use these as a reference but you can align to them visually if that would help.
