Video performance in Creo

Video performance in Creo

I have a user who has noticed that his video stutters when spinning assemblies. He says this is only a recent development. He has always been running Creo 2.0 and doesn't remember changing any settings.

I tried smaller assemblies. Having just one part is fine, as he gets to 50+ parts it starts to stutter.

Does anyone know what settings effect this? Almost seems that he needs more video ram but it worked fine before, so I'm not sure. He restarted the computer and it had a bit of a performance increase. Not sure what else could have changed..

Thanx

Tony

I had a user with the same issue recently. I think a Microsoft update might have had something to do with it. I rolled back his Display Driver and he is back to normal.

What video card is in the computer and how much RAM does it have?
What OS, memory and chip is in the computer?

I have heard that older cards may be slow with Creo2 which has a higher requirement.

Another 'shot in the dark' would be to shut off any Aero settings in Windows 7 (if that's what OS they are using).
I still have apps (including ENOVIA) that turn off Aero when they launch due to some type of display conflict.

With older Quadro cards that have 512 ram I am using the program settings for Catia and have foundthe video performance in Creo 2.0 didimprove. But this is not to say that the more ram the better. I may just have to buck up and purchase a better card.

Best Regards

Tony,

First thing is to updated the users video driver. This happens all of the time. How old is the machine?
