Hi,

to find parts/subassemblies containing specific model parameter (not component parameter), use following search "command".

Look for Part>Expression. I'm not sure why it's called "expression" in the Search Tool when it's called parameter everywhere else.

that's what I'm looking for! on the other hand I can only find the parts with this solution I cannot find the assemblies ?

Look for components instead of parts. This should get parts and assemblies that are present in the top level assembly that you are searching within.

I tested this in Creo 7 using look for components in an assembly but that only returned .asm models. This was not as I expected, if anyone can explain why I, am interested to know.

In order to get the desired results I built a search query that looks for components and parts.
