To clarify,
The intent is to enable harness models to be imported into SLA processing.
Shrinkwrap ignores harness parts created in pro/cable but works for pipes
created in pro/pipe.
This is the only method I know.
1) Export the harness assembly to Shrinkwrap using the creation method
called "Surface Subset" or perferably "Merged Solid" accuracy level 10,
and include a specific coordinate system for the harness. In this step,
the harness will not be available yet.
2) Export the harness part (the one that is disappearing) to IGES from the
assembly where it resides-using "Export Cable Surfaces" and reference the
same coordinate system selected in Step 1.
3) Import the IGES data (the harness part) to the Shrinkwrap part, making
sure to reference the coordinate system corresponding to the exported data
using >Insert >Data From File.
This is reasonably effortless, especially with simple coax cables and may
prove to be fewer steps than processing multiple IGES/STP translations.
Please reply if you know of a better method.
