good old failure resolve mode

Hi all,

Remember Resolve Mode? How you could call up a backup model in the middle
of a failure and interrogate the feature before it failed to see exactly
what the missing refs are? And remember how Pro/Engineer used to actually
TELL you when there was a reference missing?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, would you happen to know if
there is a way to get Creo to tell me what the references were, so I can
replace them?

I feel like I am using SolidQwerks here - where the workflow is more often
"delete and recreate" than it is "fix the problem"

I am so annoyed at the little orange circles that show up and say - "I don't
really know who I am supposed to be attached to, but I found someone that
looks good enough, so I am fixing on them. Hopefully you won't ever
notice."

Does Catia do sh*t like this? Maybe I will invest in a REAL CAD package. I
want to KNOW what I've created.

Wait, was this a rant? (sorry) I really just wanted to know if Creo can
show me the info I am looking for. Can it?

Nate,

You can turn resolve mode on and off by clicking on the black triangle under
the regenerate button and selecting Regeneration Manager. Next select
Preferences. Now select Failure Handling. Then select Resolve Mode. Last
select Save Preference at the bottom of the dialog box. This will put you
into the old resolve mode.

I find it nice being able to go back and forth between the two.

Hope this helps,

Don Anderson

If you set the config option

regen_failure_handling resolve_mode

things work the "old" way.
