How to simulate in Mechanism

As per this thread - same question:

 

I Am interested in this as well. I am looking to model something very similar to a 3D printer and seeing how everything moves would be great.

A rack and pinion mechanism connection (gears) should replicate the timing belt kinematics unless I am missing something in watching the video.
