How to simulate two successive displacements plus back and forth

Hi everyone,

I am new to Creo Simulate, but not to numerical simulations. I am trying to understand how much can I get from Creo Simulate.

I would like to asses the hysteresis due to friction on a mechanical system with large displacement (but small deformations).

I successfully obtained an "assembled" system where contact establishes stably during large displacements.

Now I would need to add a SUCCESSIVE displacement, which goes forward and backwards.

Questions:

  1. Is it possible to have a displacement SUCCESSIVE to other displacements (I mean after the first displacement has been carried out 100% and stays fixed)?
  2. Is it possible to impose a forth and back displacement?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Andrea
