Mechanica - springs

This is the same (ongoing) assembly analysis I posted about before. See the attached image to see my setup. There are two parts in this assembly: the main outer tube (plastic) and the inner tube (steel) which you can see from the purple contact feature outline & its end sticking out the back of the left side of the image. The inner tube is a simple cylindrical tube. This analysis ran fine before I added that spring, which is attached from the top of that circular edge on the plastic part, to ground. I put 1 lbf/in for each of Kxx, Kyy, & Kzz (just as a starting point). Any ideas?

Try deleting the spring and re-run the analysis to make sure you didn't develop a glitch somewhere. It looks like a datum point was added to the top edge and a spring was connected to a ground. I've gotten fatal errors after making revisions, and ended up deleting and re-running the analysis, and some times they would run for some odd reason. Anything is possible.

Supressed the spring and it ran just fine. Resumed the spring and ... it ran just fine. ????????????? Weird.
