I would like to perform a shape optimization on a simple beam undergoing large deflections. For this purpose, several simulation steps are needed. Simulate provides good results on a single simulation, i.e. it outputs a user-defined measure for a specific number of simulation steps.
However, it seems impossible to define an "error function" for optimization studies (e.g. root mean square value evaluated in a series of simulation steps). Simulate considers the last value, i.e. the one evaluated during the last simulation step through the "measure tool".
