create lettering directorly in Sheetmetal model

Could PTC develop a function which allow to create lettering directorly in Sheetmetal model?

Making assuptions, did you try unselecting the Remove material normal to surface option? Text that doesn't go thru the sheetmetal feature will have a problem bending if that is selected (first icon in following pic).

Look at the red surface. You can try with any letter content. Only one requirement, the model shall be kept as sheetmetal.

Are you just trying to emboss a part number or something like that?

You could use graphics for this if you wanted.  You can make something called a decal.  And you can wrap curves onto the surface.

Just remember that sheetmetal prefers everything remain a single thickness.
