Computed Field: Association Type and ID

Hi all,

I was searching in the documentation but couldn´t find it.

I´m trying to have a computed field which takes the ID of the referenced items that are linked through an association with the type "derived from".

Is this possible and if yes, how?

My personal goal is to unify references and associations, so that there are properties you can set on a reference field that cause it to act like today's associations.  We do not yet have a planned release for this unification, but that is the approach we are considering.

Hello @MJ_14295943

Currently, it is possible to do field computations over

  • upstream references,
  • downstream references,
  • and parent-child relationships;

however, computation based on associations is not supported.

Thanks for the reply - This was what I feared.
Are there any plans to include this functionality?
