With the hopes of bringing exciting new features, a cleaner design, and a more intuitive community navigation, we migrated the PTC Community to a new platform, Lithium, on June 30th. The team was excited to bring you the benefits of this new investment after years of small, incremental improvements.
However, we recognize that the migration had several gaps that created challenges for our community members. The customer communication, training, and support after the migration did not meet the standards we have at PTC. For that, we apologize. We are re-doubling our efforts to solve the gaps and deliver a best-in-class community.
We are listening to your feedback and are actively working on improving the community site. New team members were brought in from other departments to lend their expertise during this post-migration period and to provide quick support for urgent issues.
We chose Lithium as our new community platform because the security, technology, and integrations are far beyond the capabilities that our previous platform offered. These added features will help us to reply faster to your questions and align the community experience with our website and support portal to make interacting with PTC more seamless than ever.
Lastly, I want to introduce you to Jaime Lee Bunton who will be taking over from Toby Metcalf supporting the PTC Community. Jaime Lee comes to PTC with Lithium community platform and online strategy experience. She launched the Verizon FiOS support community and led a robust Idea Exchange and an educational community. She also has over ten-year experience in customer advocacy and support roles. We are looking forward to having her on the team.
Content in the PTC Community will be unavailable during the maintenance window scheduled for 12:00 AM Pacific Time until 4:00 AM Pacific Time (3:00 AM Eastern Time until 7:00 AM Eastern Time) on Friday, August 4th.
