Webcast Q&A

Question from Carl:  Is a skeleton the same as a sketch?

Answer:  It is a specific sub-type of a part.  Once you create a skeleton part it can contain sketches, Datum features, surfaces, etc. to describe references, locations of the overall design.

Webcast Q&A

Question from JIn top down design, should every subassembly have a skeleton model?  Or should you just pull all geometry from the TLA Skeleton?

Answer:  Hard to make a sweeping statement there, depends on complexity of the model.  Most designs would not require a skeleton in each subassembly, but if it makes sense, no reason not to where appropriate.

Webcast Q&A

Question from SaulIf the skeleton is modified at some point process, do all related components update along with the skeleton?

Answer:  Yes, everything related to the skeleton is updated.

Webcast Q&A

Question from MarkWhat is the output file format of shrinkwrap?  Can I import it to other software packages?

Answer:  It is a .prt file.  By default it has an "_sw" appended to it's name.
