Question from Anonymous: Do you have a suggested ECAD software?
Answer: We have no preferred partner. Any tool that exports the IDX should work. Each ECAD solution has it's plusses and minuses that need to be compared against each other for your specific requirements.
Question from Eric: Has PTC figured out how to deform a PCBA to a skeleton? We have used extremely thin boards and heat staked them to a complex contoured surface (not a straight line bends). When aligning LEDs to guides and style masters this function is critical.
Answer: Flexible PCBs are covered in this mode as you can see here. Bends don't have to be straight but we don't allow deformation. We follow Sheetmetal rules...this if it can be unbent, then we can support them.
