Question from Andrew: When it becomes inseparable does the model become more light weight for rendering purposes?
Answer: The rendering is geometry based. The geometry is not changing so rendering should be no different.
Question from Andrew: Can you then re-run the generation to make the associated keep out after removing the beam?
Answer: No, this is after the fact. It does not stay removed when you re-lattice.
Question from Andrew: We call out surface finish via note and leader with colored faces. Is the new call out able to reflect the faces it references?
Answer: Yes, this was update in Creo 7.0. Divide in 9.0 if you only want parts.

Answer: Divide surface is an OOTB 3D function.
