Hi, I am working on IFX custom library creation for my company.
I have more than 1300 screws with 4-5 categories .
I can not use dat files with category name and multiple parts from same category in the file. As i just dont have differentiation on Top category, i have different variations in sizes, lengths, then material, finish, drive types.
I am now creating individual .dat file with info value placed in them showing part number, its size, length, material, finish, drive types.
So, my top level category shows around 200 screws in one category dropdown,
then each row shows, its name and other attributes.
Is their any way we can add multiple options of dropdowns to select from, like length, or thread what we have.
SO extra dropdowns for material, drive type.
Hi, @Vinayak_Patil
you can add an additional column for this.
Find more details here: Did you know about SUBINFO in IFX - PTC Community
Hi @OliverGräbner Thanks for information. I tried this, but i think it will difficult in case of Screws selection.
For washers and nuts, this can be accommodated as they will be already filtered out with respect to initial screw selection size.
But for Screw selection we are struggling to accommodate all this types.
Example - I have 6 major categories, Hex, Round, Countersunk, Thread forming, Set and Misc,
Inside this categories i have around 200-300 screws , They are not family table instances, but standalone file.(We don't like family tables)
Now if i add them in single .dat file, i can not show part names for all those items, i will be only showing Main category name.
Now i can select lengths , and sizes, but their are other information also, like Subtype, Material, Finish, Drive types. Example in below image.
I also want to add description to each part to show user. as we have lot of parameters to chose from.
Hi,
maybe you can provide more information or share some *.dat files with me.
You can also send the data to oli@buw-soft.de.
Maybe we will find another solution for this.
