Hi Everyone,
Question:
Is it possible to install, or rather deploy Creo Elements via the network, e.g. .msi install file for use with Active Directory/Group Policy so that we can push the software + updates to machines on the background?
Intro/background: We're using Creo Elements V17, and in the past we installed the software on the clients with one admin account, and on every new machine we would install the features that a user would need by hand, but very recently we've had to deal with some updates for our product.
That in itself is not a problem, but we keep a pretty tight policy on giving users admin rights, so only 5/150 users have admin rights. That means that nobody (expcept the admins) can install the update in the proper install location (C:\program files (x86)\....). Somehow the installer from Creo Elements checks if the users has admin rights. If so, all is good. If not, the installer will install the product in c:\users\.... which we don't want....
Obviously we could just walk around and log in to every machine to install the update, but with approx. 150 machines, that's not really the way to go.....
Thanks for your help,
Thomas
