WEBLINK API WIZARD doens't work, how to fix it?

Hi Guys.

I've been trying to get my hands on this API Wizard (http://support.ptc.com/cs/tkdoc/Creo2/pfcweblink/NSCPTestSwing.html) but it crashes all the time.

It has something to be with some necessary Java authorization for the browser to be able to open it.

Can anyone help me with that?

Hi,

according https://support.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS130577 you can use the following workaround.
(On my PC Java 8u51 32-bit is installed.)

Control Panel > Java(32bit) > Security tab

Add http://support.ptc.com to the list of sites.

Hi,

I'am facing a similar difficulty.

I tried your solution Martin, but it seems we need to add something else in the exception list. Because even after adding http://support.ptc.com to the exception sites list. It keeps blocking the wizard saying it doesn't fulfill security requirements.

Thanks,

Suraj

Hi,

I am sorry, I can't help you. I guess that the workaround worked in Internet Explorer 10 32-bit in Windows. If you use different environment, try searching PTC Knowledge Base.

API Wizards Online

The above mentioned link contains online api wizards, will I be able to access those if I upgrade my account to Customer account?

Suraj

Hello,

the following works for me right now:

1. Martin suggestion to edit the exception site list in the java control panel.

2. the creo internal browser

3. accessing the api wizard through www.ptc.com/support/apiwizard.htm

JDK 1.8.111

JRE (Creo intern) 1.8.40
