Web.Link API into external IDE

I have started development with Web.Link in Creo 4.0 and tried to find information about how to use the API in an IDE (with full support for Web.Link). I would prefer to use a IDE of my choice and just import the Javascript class definitions into the IDE. That way I can take advantage of the syntax highlighting, auto-complete, debugging etc.

If i'm not mistaken you can already do this with J-Link. You can import a jar-file into your IDE and use all the functionality of the IDE when developing with J-Link.

Is there a way to import the Web.Link API into something like WebStorm, Visual Studio Code or IntelliJ? How do you guys write Javascript/Java/C++ code when developing with Toolkit/Web.Link?
