I've been emailing the engineer on an open call I have, and I just noticed that my emails are not getting added to the Case Details page.
I cc the email to -<">mailto:-> the call number is in the subject line. Cxxxxxxxx
Anyone else notice this?
Did something break when they change the submission a week or so back?

The process has changed. The first time the engineer emails you on a call. You have to use reply all in order for the reference number and the imbedded information in the email to add information to the call.
If you ever fail to use reply all, and just hit reply, the chain is broken.
