pro/toolkit question

Good Morning Everyone,

I've got a bit of a programming background and wanted to tinker with creating programs that would run in Creo 2. So, do I need a license of Pro/Toolkit to do this, or are there any backdoor methods of creating programs that will run in Creo? If I need a Pro/Toolkit license, does anyone know the cost of a single seat? Where can I look to get started (you know, the typical "hello world" stuff).

You will need a Pro/Toolkit license to run your program (C/C++).
Last that I recall, its' cost was $10,000.
As to getting started, Pro/Toolkit contains many examples.

If you know how to program in Java, there is a free solution: J-Link, which is included with Pro/E.
I switched from Pro/Toolkit to J-Link years ago. I highly recommend J-Link.

There is also a Visual Basic interface, which I believe is also free/included.
