00_BUW_datum always hidden under layers after import

When I insert parts from EMX and I hereafter open the parts, the datums are always hidden in layers. In the layer its called 00_buw_datum. QST: Why are these datums always hidden. Everytime i import a part and i want to use the predefined datumplanes, I have to unhide and save status afterwards. Is there a way for these datums to always be visible? Thanks. Clement

Hello Clement,

we hide this layer by default.

There are simply to many datums on this layer in a later design state.

The reason for this is that we add all datums that are created during the design process.

The recommend to keep it hidden.

Thomas

00_BUW_DATUM layer

Also do you know of any documentation about the current layering process and how its better than old versions.

Thanks

Hello Together,

we are currently working on a new layer concept for EMX 10 which will completly replace the 00_BUW_DATUM conecpt with rulebased layers. I will keep you up to date.
