From what I understand, the 'free' expert machinist package that is included with only output to a 'fanuc' type of post.

I beleive the "Expert Machinist" that ships with WF4 is being called CAM LITE. You do not need to have a manufacturing license to generate CL file. If you want to post the CL file to g-code you need a MFG Licence.
