Odd messages when loading manufacturing assemblies

Creo 4.0, Build M090

We've been seeing some strange messages in the message log when loading in manufacturing assemblies. The first is about relations:

No relations have been defined for this model.

That's fine, I don't have any relations. So what? Why is it telling me this? The implication is that somewhere there is the expectation of relations and it is "disappointing" the program?

The other message another user is getting is scarier:

Error in reading file. Incorrect format?

This is occurring for any file this guy opens, even one he just created yesterday. This doesn't stop him from working with the files, though, implying that it's not so much an error as a warning.

Has anyone had experience with this nonsense?
