Postprocessor LinuxCNC

Hi,

Does somebody know, where to find a postprocessor for LinuxCNC for milling ?

Somewhere on the internet I read, that it uses RS-274NGC -code. So maybe there is a postprocessor that can be used ?

And if not, do you know a good tutorial on how to create such a postprocessor ?

Thanks,

Dear MaikTheBike,

there is no easy solution to your question.

In my case, I have gone through a g-code that is readable by my machine,

found post-processor that's output is similar to what is needed, and refine it in NC post-processor application till you are satisfied with the results.

You will not succeed if you only have an anti-advertising of cam product called expert machinist. Not only it extremely being extremely unstable, and limited in functions - it doesn't allow to select post-processor.

please visit this page - you will find their links to numerous postprocessors, something will fit your needs.

Have a good rest of the day.
