Hello,
due to a users question I will show you how you can use the Mouse Pick Points Feature to create points on the fly when defining an EMX component.
On the fly point creation in EMX
In my example I will create 4 support pillars. Generally, the Mouse Pick Points feature can also be used for other components.
1. Define a new support pillar from the EMX Ribbon.
2. It is important that you preselect the correct planes for the component, otherwise EMX will give you a warning.
When selecting both planes for the support pillar correctly, the distance between the plane is meausred and a valid instance will be preselected.
3. Now you can select the Mouse Pick Points feature.
EMX rotates the view and you can start creating point on the fly. Leave with Middle Mouse Button and click OK.
The support pillars are going to be created based on the picked points. The point cloud can be edited manually.
Thanks,
Thomas
