Ballistics, Ogives, and Bullet Shapes
I came across this blog yesterday and thought I'd share it with you. This engineer demonstrates the power of a computer algebra (in this case Mathcad) system to solve real problems. He develops an algorithm for computing the mass of bullet and tests this algorithm on real bullet designs. He also uses Mathcad to compute the ogive length of the bullets using its numerical solver.
It looks to be a series:
- Ballistics, Ogives, and Bullet Shapes Part 1
- Ballistics, Ogives, and Bullet Shapes Part 2
- Ogives and Battleships
- Projectile Velocity Versus Drag
How are you using Mathcad to solve real problems?
