It does say in the help file
z must be a dimensionless scalar (real, complex, or imaginary), or a vector of scalars. For log and ln functions, z cannot be zero.

seems to be a bug in the M14 symbolic processor, which is MuPad and not Maple.

It seems that MuPad does not know anything about hex-numbers (as it does not know anything about units).
Has nothing to do with the ln-function.
Simply try to evaluate 0ah symbolically and you see the problem.
